Drive through the largest grassland in Tibet Dzonge, a nomadic region with all kinds of nimals including black-neck crane. Arrive Tangkor at dusk to watch the sunset at the nine bend of Yellow Rive. Stay overnight in Tangkor.

On the way visit Katok monastery with many colorful buildings nestling on the mountaintop. Deep into a valley, explore Pelpung Monastery of Kagyud sect. Drive alone the Yangtze River until you reach Derge.
Pay a morning visit the Derge Parkhang Scripture Printing Press temple founded in 1729. Onto the highest pass Mt. Torla (5050m), watch Yilun Lhatso Holy Lake.
Visit the most beautiful monastery located in a valley, Dzogchen Monastery, with a backdrop of Snow Mountain and evergreen forest. Drive through the vast grasslands to Sershul to stay overnight.
Watch the longest stone Mani (carving compassion goddess words on the stone) wall in the whole Tibet, where Tibetans carve Mani stone and put there to pray for a family member who recently died. After generations, millions of Mani stones become the wall-like construction.
Search for swans and wild donkeys at the sister lakes Ngoring and Kyaring.
