You’ll not recognize this town when you arrive Labrang in 2018. Reconstruction is taking place everywhere: from Labrang Monastery, to major streets in downtown. But most significantly, Snow Mountain Adventures has moved to the Walking Street.
Located on one of the most bustling streets in Labrang, Snow Mountain Adventures is now easier to access for tourists. About 500 meters down from Labrang Monastery, turning right at the first road, then walking about 200 meters, you’ll see a beautifully painted shop with a red bench comfortably set outside its window.
Outside the shop, rows of motorcycles and bikes are waiting for rental here, among which, motorcycles are newly arrived from Lhasa. Several motorcycle ride routes are just designed for tourists, starting from Labrang, to explore grasslands in Gannan, or holy mountains and lakes in Qinghai.
Coming from Qinghai in May, young but knowledgeable Lang Jack is our new member serving as motorcycle and Tibetan culture guide. Good at telling stories about Tibetan history, culture and religion in a vivid way, Lang Jack is always willing to guide you through the unknown land of snow.
